The Red Fox is the twenty-third episode of the first season of the animated series, The Great Book of Nature.
Plot[]
In the first part of the episode, a crafty red fox tricks a bear, steals all the fish it’s caught, and then, in order to get away scot-free, sabotages a bridge so that the bear falls into the river. But being crafty is not enough, and the fox ends up in the icy waters, in place of the bear that sits calmly on the bank enjoying the show.
In the second part, a young pig, who is told by his grandfather to stand guard, breaks one of the tiles on the roof and tries to repair the damage by stealing a replacement tile from the goat’s house. He tells his friend (a cat) that the goat caused the damage, but when he tries to put his plan into action, he ends up trapped in the fertilizer barrel.
The grandfather, the cat, and the goat confront the young pig, who confesses his mistake to everyone. He is then forgiven by all.
