King Brion's Edict (Italian: L'editto di Ri Brion) is the fourth episode of the animated series, The Legend of Sleeping Beauty.

In the Land of the Dinosaurs, there is a battle against Maya. While the dinosaurs and the mammoths try to chase her away, Rakhal gives further proof of his powers by identifying where the weak point in the defenses of Forgotten Land lies. While he watches the battle, he notes a group of five little dinosaurs, who have evidently skipped school, and who are attacking Maya bravely. Their efforts cause her to fall into a lake where the other dinosaurs continue to attack.

Rakhal then goes over to meet the five small dinosaurs. In the meantime, in the castle of little Kindra, they are continuing to save the books of the library. King Brion suggests to the King that he issue an edict banning anyone from using a spinning wheel and ordering the destruction of all the spinning machines in the kingdom. The forest people would take on the responsibility of weaving cloth, and constructing a spinning mill in an inaccessible place. In this way, they hope to try and avoid the inevitable, which is that the princess will one day prick herself thereby actualizing Maya’s curse.

Furthermore, the animals in the forest would then make copies of everything in the castle library so there would never again be the risk of losing such precious information. Rakhal reaches the five little dinosaurs just as Maya comes out of the lake and attacks them. One of them is mortally wounded, but Rakhal, using his powers, forces Maya to flee and then he goes over to the little dinosaur and heals him.
