Gonzales the Thief (Japanese: オレは泥棒じゃない！, Ore wa dorobō janai!) is the twenty-second episode of the Japanese animated/anime series, The Legend of Zorro and was originally broadcasted on September 13, 1996 in Japan.
Synopsis[]
Gonzales dreams of making his mother happy by obtaining a promotion. With this in mind, he tries to capture a thief who has stolen a precious piece of jewelry, but because he is so clumsy, the sergeant ends up being accused of the theft himself. Bernard, Diego, and Lolita vindicate him, and catch the real culprit, but in spite of all that, Gonzales still does not get his promotion.
