A Tribute to Revenge is the seventh episode of the animated series, The Black Corsair.

Plot[]

The Thunderbolt heads at top speed towards the Spanish ship, but the latter is quite swift. At last the Thunderbolt manages to reach it, only when the Black Corsair then takes the helm. As soon as the distance allows, the shelling begins, and the Thunderbolt prepares for boarding. The Spanish commander, however, turns out to be better than expected, and the task is not so easy. The duel between the two ships is long and exhausting, with many losses on both sides, but in the end, the Thunderbolt manages to ram the other ship.

The pirates, led by the Black Corsair, go for the boarding, and after a furious hand to hand struggle, the last Spaniards surrender. The Black Corsair spares their lives, and makes them board a lifeboat with food and water supplies. The Black Corsair then earns from them that a Flemish duchess and her maids are on board. He decides to take her to the Tortuga and ask for a ransom that will be shared by the crewmen. The duchess appears on deck and they are all dazzled by her beauty, her grace, and her dignity.
